The company was formed by Nicholas Christie who has a great passion for Africa, he has since created a small but knowledgeable team who share the same passion for Africa and Travel that he does. The focus of Gap Africa Projects comes from the team’s passion and we aim to provide meaningful and sustainable projects in Africa that will not only satisfy the needs of eager gap year and sabbatical travellers but also support and develop the projects themselves. Adventure is also our passion and we have carefully selected some of the best adventure tours and activities that the continent has to offer.

Our group educational expeditions have been specifically formulated to encourage growth and development for young people in all areas of their lives including adventure, cultures & international understanding, team work, leadership and responsibility.

Our group educational expeditions are unlike any other out of classroom learning experience! Your students will have a truly life changing experience and learn more about themselves in a couple of weeks than they probably have done in as many years. Most depart as young people but all return as young adults.
Group educational expeditions are conducted by specialists in their field who are willing and able to pass on their knowledge and experience to your group. With the focus on developing the students, our leaders and tutors are also encouraged to let the them work as a team and make decisions in certain circumstances and situations.
